Realistic Wildlife, Pet Portraits and Abstract Mixed Media by Ivett Orel
I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Ireland, in the beautiful North County Wexford. I'm driven by a deep love for nature and an obsession with intricate detail. My work spans a wide range of styles and mediums — from lifelike pet portraits and wildlife art rendered in soft pastels to whimsical, abstract pieces sculpted in clay and layered with mixed media.

Each collection tells its own story, yet they are all connected by a fascination with organic forms, textures, and the quiet beauty found in the natural world. Whether I'm capturing the soulful gaze of an animal or creating playful 3D objects that blur the line between sculpture and painting, I approach every piece with curiosity, care, and a desire to create something that resonates on a deeper level.
My art is both an exploration and a celebration — of nature, detail, and the endless possibilities of artistic expression.
Wildlife & Animal Portraits

I specialise in realistic wildlife and animal portraits, drawn in soft pastel with a focus on fine detail and true‑to‑life texture. I create original artwork that highlights the natural character of each subject while still allowing space for my own artistic style and interpretation.

Pet Portrait Commissions
I’m thrilled to share my latest creative journey—capturing the unique beauty and spirit of pets through custom soft pastel pet portraits! Each piece is lovingly crafted to celebrate the bond between pets and their families, blending realism with the softness of hand-drawn artistry.
I’m excited to announce that I’m still taking commissions for 2026-27! Whether you’re looking to honour your furry friend or give a meaningful gift, let’s create something truly special together.

Oceanic Elegance
Oceanic Elegance is a sculptural mixed‑media collection inspired by my deep fascination with the ocean’s beauty. Influenced by shells, coral reefs, and marine life, each 3D piece is handcrafted using clay, textiles, shells, and natural elements. These unique creations capture the essence of the sea in all its forms, blending organic textures with a timeless sense of coastal charm.

Nature Impressions
Nature Impressions is a collection of 3D collages made with materials found in nature—like shells, stones, and other treasures. Each piece highlights the beauty of these natural elements, blending textures and colors to create something unique and eye-catching. It’s all about celebrating the raw charm of the world around us in a creative, tactile way.

A big thank you to THE COFFEE POD in Gorey Town Park for allowing me to showcase my pet portraits in your delightful establishment. I’ve always enjoyed the warm atmosphere and great coffee here, and having my pieces displayed in such a welcoming environment is truly an honor. Your support for local artists is greatly appreciated.

A special thank you to Little Frieda's Cafe in Deansgrange, Dublin, for supporting my art and for providing a beautiful setting to share my work. It’s been a pleasure to be part of your space

A little throwback to a special day at The Gaslamp Gallery in Gorey, where I was invited to do a live pastel demonstration. It was such an honor to be part of this vibrant creative space and to meet so many lovely people who stopped by for a chat while I worked on one of my wild animal drawings.
That day was made even more special when journalist Saoirse Hanley from Sunday Independent visited the gallery and mentioned me in her wonderful write-up about Gorey and its local gems. Grateful for the experience and the kind words!
